Democracy:
In a socialist democratic USA
where capital has been
removed from the hands of the bourgeois, will the people who are
interested in a capitalist USA
be allowed representation and have the
liberty to propose their cause to the people?
Re: Popular Democracy
in Socialist Society
Freedom of Religion: What is the
Party's view on religion?
Re: "The CPUSA is committed to freedom of religion."
Privacy: It is well propagandized that
Communist nations did/do not respect the
privacy of their citizens. How will a change to socialism affect our rights
to
privacy?
Re: "Privacy will be strengthened under socialism, not only because of
the Bill of
Rights, but the elimination of invasion of privacy for commercial
reasons."
Due Process of Law: Due process
protects the individual when loss of properly and
liberty are concerned. In a Communist transition would the seizure of private
property
be considered something similar to the 13th Amendment freeing the slaves?
Re: "Due process will be respected. The question of compensation for
nationalization
will need discussion at the time the process unfolds...Marxists oppose the
extraction of
profit from other people's labor. The capitalist legal system, of course,
regards this as
legitimate... A constitutional amendment may be the appropriate path."
What is the Party's statement on the
issue of Abortion/Right to life?
Re: "The Party strongly supports the right of women to abort
pregnancy."
What is the Party's stand on religion
in public schools?
Re: "We oppose teaching of religion in public schools.."
